Kota Kinabalu: A male contestant at the recent Kalimaran Festival in Tenom who came first runner-up by wearing female Murut costume has stirred debate in social media that cross-dressing may now be acceptable in such contests.The male contestant wore a red tube top which is normally worn by females.

During the introduction of the said contestant, it was mentioned that he was wearing a Murut Tahol costume.
