SANDAKAN: The Borneo Sevens kicked off yesterday (Friday) in Sandakan after a three-year hiatus with the participation of 16 teams – eight men’s and eight women’s.

President of Sabah Rugby Union, Velayuthan Tan believes the competition will be great again despite several constraints this year.
“The last time we held this competition was three years ago so we’re a bit rusty but by this time next year, it will be great again.
