Ambulance gets stuck for an hour
The ambulance stuck as a log truck could not move due to muddy road.
SIPITANG: Kampung Meligan Health Clinic ambulance was stuck for an hour on the road at Lumampau area, Kg Ulu Bole on its way to send a patient from Kg Meligan to Sipitang Hospital on Friday.

According to a former Native Head (KAN), Andal Ating, 73, from Kampung Ulu Bole, they could not move forward as a lorry delivering logs to the mill was aground on the road.

Assistant Medical Officer (PPP) Mohd Haysidi when contacted at the Village Health Clinic Meligan, Saturday morning, said the patient being sent to the hospital was an elderly man aged 77.

According to Haysidi, they had to wait from 6.23 pm until 7.30 pm on the road before continuing their journey to Sipitang, after pulling the lorry to the side.

Meanwhile, Andal sent a video of the stuck ambulance to Daily Express the same day and urged the company responsible to put gravel on the road especially on slippery muddy surface to ensure that such an incident wouldn’t happen again.

“What if the patient was in a critical condition?” he asked.
