Sandakan is first Sabah local govt to be given anti-bribery certification

SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Municipal Council has become the first local authority in Sabah to be given an anti-bribery certification.
The council received the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) ISO 37001:2016 certification in a ceremony before Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam at the Sandakan Community Hall Tuesday.

Joachim said the certification not only allows the prevention, detection and action against graft, but also helps a local government enhance risk management associated with the menace.
