PENAMPANG: A new action movie, first to be recorded at the Sabah incorporating CGI technology with a plot based on Kalis martial arts, is expected to be completed before 2025, said Producer/Director Mitch Tai.The Kalis arts of self-defence, now practised worldwide, is considered dangerous in which hard sticks are used as weapons and believed to have originated from Java and then migrated to the Philippines, Mitch said.

Internet reference also link Kalis with the Keris found in Malay movies, while other reports say Kalis is a sword of distinct appearance of various sizes and shapes.
