Joannes re-elected Kinabalu Golf Club chief

Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Joannes Solidau has won another term as Kinabalu Golf Club (KGC) president following their Annual General Meeting held at the club recently.

He defeated his only challenger Datuk Maureen Lind, who was his deputy, 178-154 when the final result was announced.

The deputy president post was won by Irwan Ayub who polled 174 votes to defeat Petrocelli Joseph (145), while William Chan Swee Ping accumulated 172 votes to take the vice president seat in a three-corner fight against Philip Labadin (99) and DR Raymond Alfred (57).

The captain post went to Maximilian Benedict Jr. Boijol with Kamaruddin Ismail as secretary, Kassim Yunus as treasurer, Yahya Yusof as golf secretary and Chai Fui Ming as tennis member.

The five elected committee members are Lawrence Sinti, Hasbi Sariat, Mohd Jefrey Liew Abdullah, Hashim Nasip and Bunny The Bung Nee, while the ladies representative is Habibah Abdullah.
