Women’s Empowerment via Craft Workshop

Kota Kinabalu: JCI Iintan hosted a Women’s Empowerment Through Craft, Weaving Basket (Basic) Workshop at Majlis Belia Sabah, Arena Belia, Kota Kinabalu on March 25. The event was a massive success, with participants creating beautiful baskets under the guidance of trainer D’ Insim (Puan Melissa Lapinjang). The workshop was part of a larger Women’s Empowerment Program organised by JCI branches under JCI Malaysia (Sabah Area). JCI Kota Kinabalu, JCI Moyog, JCI Lintas, JCI Luyang, JCI Tanjung Aru, and JCI Labuan provided valuable support throughout the process.

Special guests Love Charmaine Uychoco, CEO & Founder of Global Women Empowerment Summit, and Maria Victoria Ferrer, Founder of Learner’s Innovative Talkademy, spoke at the workshop.
They said women could excel in every professional field and that all they need is equal rights and freedom from the crimes against them. They also highlighted the importance of confidence as a means of empowering children and fostering a positive role model.
