Kaingaran-Karagasan road upgrade in next ‘Roll Plan’
Jonathan said the latest status of the Jalan Tarawas-Malinsau-Kaingaran Upgrading Project is in the initial phase of construction where a Letter of Acceptance (SST) had been issued to the contractor on Oct 31  2022 and the site possession date was Dec 30 2022.
RANAU: The upgrading of the road from Kg Kaingaran to Kg Karagasan will be included in the upcoming ‘Rolling Plan’ in which the Sabah Government needs to apply to the Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB) and subsequently get approval from the Economy Ministry.

Ranau MP Datuk Jonathan Yasin said the road should have been included in the 47.0 km long upgrade project with R2 specifications and five bridges at a cost of RM300 Million.

“However, the value study laboratory in May 2022 found that the RM300 million project cost could only meet the construction needs of a 39.47km long road including five bridges involving 17 villages.
