Stable supply of sugar in Sandakan

SANDAKAN: The supply of sugar in Sandakan is stable and consumers are advised not to resort to panic buying.Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) Sandakan District Chief Enforcement Officer Adzy Zukkry John said a check on a warehouse here on Tuesday found a fresh supply of sugar had arrived on Monday.ADVERTISEMENT
He said a total of 238.08 metric tonnes of sugar had begun to be distributed to traders.
“I advise consumers to buy sugar modestly and don’t panic so that everyone gets an adequate share. Report to KPDN immediately if there are problems with the supply of sugar and other necessities,” he said.
The next supply of sugar will reach Sandakan in April. Previously, people in the district claimed to have difficulty in getting sugar from the market.
