Kuala Lumpur: The China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM) expects more Chinese investors and entrepreneurs to come to Malaysia, and vice-versa, following the successful visit by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to China recently, said its president Datuk Keith Li.During Anwar’s official visit to the republic, Malaysia received the highest investment commitment in history, amounting to RM170 billion from Chinese investors, following the signing of 19 memoranda of understanding between Malaysian and Chinese companies.

Li expressed confidence that Malaysia and China would have a brighter future in business as the two countries are actively working together to enhance bilateral engagements, trade relations and friendship.

“Prime Minister Anwar’s visit to Beijing is a huge success as the country brings in a lot of Chinese investors, and hope that through the two countries’ leaders’ efforts, we can have more business and investments bilaterally, enhance trade, and many others.

“For me, there are a number of Chinese entrepreneurs like me staying in Malaysia for many years and love this land, some like me marry Malaysians and stay here for a long time.

“Malaysia’s ethnic culture is very colourful and it’s also a very peaceful country and we enjoy living here,” he told Bernama after distributing Ramadan food packs from Malaysia-China Insight to Bernama staff.

Malaysia-China Insight sponsored 400 food packs as part of its corporate social responsibility and hopes to organise the similar events on an annual basis.

Li who is also the founder of Malaysia-China Insight wished to be able to work with Bernama closely in the future and help to contribute to the local communities and society.
