Fined RM3,000 for operating outlet without licence

before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, to the charge against him on Thursday.
He operated the business without any licence at 12.40am on March 10 this year at the J’Win Pub and Lounge in Lorong Berjaya 1, Bandaran Berjaya, near here.

The court heard that the police raided the outlet and found 16 customers inside the premises which had no licence for the business.ADVERTISEMENT
In another case, two women were ordered to pay RM1,000 fine or one month’s jail each for engaging in illegal gambling activities. Nurjanna Mohd Anuar, 38, admitted to buying two illegal lottery tickets at 4.45pm on Jan 14 this year at the five-foot way in front of the JC Wings Enterprise shop in Inanam.
Meanwhile, Mar Hawati Mohd Anuar pleaded guilty to carrying out illegal gambling activity at 2.20pm on March 9 this year in front of the Loi Hing shop in Inanam.

The court ordered for the cash money of RM100 and RM60 to be forfeited by government revenue through prosecution.
Inspector Navind Kumar Vijayan appeared for the prosecution.
