Kota Kinabalu: Tambuakar Muay Thai Club Papar did Sabah proud after becoming the overall winners at the seventh edition of the Sarawak TYT’s Muay Thai Championship in Kuching last week.

The club’s 23 athletes, who were representing the Sabah Muay Thai Association (SMTA), wiped the floor against competitors from the host state, Labuan, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor to bring home the Borneo Cup with their haul of 15 gold and 10 silver medals.

Two Sarawak teams took second and third place in the overall standing at the event: Ps Muay Thai had a tally of 12 gold and seven silver medals, while Sting Muay Thai brought in 10 gold and 14 bronze medals.
