Kota Kinabalu: The popular Zing Sunset Bar at the Kinabalu Golf Club (KGC) was destroyed by fire at about 2.30am after heavy rain stopped on Friday. The cause remained a mystery.Its counter was totally destroyed, including the chairs and tables. A 36-year-old security guard said he tried to put out the fire but couldn’t because the fire got bigger.

Another security guard immediately contacted the Fire and Rescue Department for assistance.
The firefighters managed to control and put out the fire about half an hour later. No casualties were reported while cause of the fire and losses are still under investigation.
