Penampang parking and Tamu stalls upgrade
Ewon said he understood the plight of Tamu traders as his mother used to sell village produce at Kadamaian Tamu grounds which was muddy but which now he has upgraded. 
PENAMPANG: The Tamu traders of Donggongon will be given the opportunity to give feedback on the design of the new structures to replace the dilapidated Tamu stalls here.

Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedick said this after opening the Kaamatan festival organised by the Persatuan Penjaja Tamu Donggongon Penampang Sabah (PPTDPS) here weekend.

Regarding parking fees, he said this would eventually be implemented as the Council needs the revenue to be upgraded as a municipality.

He said he is not aware of allegations that parking fees system is being privatised without going through tender.

He said that Tamu matters comes under his Ministry and he would do his best to get the allocations for the Tamu since the Chairman of PPTDPS John Gintos has messaged him many times of three ground breaking ceremonies but the Tamu ground being dilapidated without lights and flooded during heavy rain.

Ewon said he understood the plight of Tamu traders as his mother used to sell village produce at Kadamaian Tamu grounds which was muddy but which now he has upgraded. 

He also presented prizes to the winners of the Unduk Ngadau pageantry.

Apprilleca Rya Martin 17, was crowned Unduk Ngadau Queen while Jenny Matius was champion of the Sugandoi Singing contest.

Jenny also won 2nd place in traditional dishes competition.

Participants of all contest are opened to the Tamu traders and their families only.
