Kota Kinabalu: Kemabong assemblyman Datuk Rubin Balang said insufficient utility distribution is brought up and debated in the State Assembly year after year but the issue persists.
Citing electricity and water supply concerns, he praised Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd and the Water Department for providing briefings on the matter, but he wanted the utility firms to solve the issue as soon as possible.

He said this while debating the Head of State's Policy Speech in the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.
"I told them (the utility companies) I would raise this matter at the state assembly sitting because the briefing was a closed-door briefing and the people did not hear it and may assume we are not fighting for the issues to be resolved when, in fact, every year we debate and raise the issue at the state assembly sitting but it still persists to this day.
