Kota Kinabalu: SENALLANG Assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal made reference in the State Assembly Tuesday to Sabah’s biggest corruption scandal involving the State Water Department, suggesting that the RM130 million seized by MACC be returned to Sabah for infrastructure spending.

“Never in history where so much money was found at an office at the water department. We should, in fact, ask to return the money for infrastructure,” the former Chief Minister and Parti Warisan President said.

The case, the longest-running in Sabah and now into its eighth year without conclusion had so far resulted in the seizure of RM60m in cash and assets by the MACC, with some former top politicians implicated.
