'In Pakistan, you'd be shot': Stop ridiculing Sabah Maju Jaya slogan, urges House deputy speaker

Kota Kinabalu: Stop using the “Sabah Maju Jaya” state slogan to insult to current government, said Deputy Speaker of the House Datuk Ahmad Abdul Rahman.
“My position is to uphold the constitution just like you all (assemblymen). Pick up a copy of the constitution if you have time one day and do me a favour to point out the coat of arms and read the slogan," he said today at the Sabah Legislative Assembly sitting here.

“You took an oath to defend the State and now you threaten it with its own slogan. If this were Pakistan, you’d be shot.
“But thankfully we have laws here..the slogan was not made by the current government but has been here since the time of Tun Mustapha."
