Kota Kinabalu: The Kadazandusun Cultural Association Women’s Council is not pleased with the recent cross-dressing male pageant, which it described as “over-the-top and inappropriate.”
The pageant, which went viral on social media and said to have been held in Keningau, showed several men dressed in female traditional costumes.

Its Chairperson Joanna Datuk Kitingan said it was a mockery to the Unduk Ngadau (UN) title, which has not only been registered with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) but also a sacred term that was passed down orally based on Bobohizan beliefs.
