“Therefore, I call once again on all relevant ministries, departments and agencies to continue to work hard and take more proactive and prudent measures to resolve it so that the comfort and wellbeing of the people are guaranteed,” Hajiji said.
CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the State Government now has RM6.786 billion in cash reserves.
He said there is no denying that the drastic increase in revenue over the past two years is indeed a very proud achievement.

“Even in a situation of increasingly strong results like this, it is not a reason for us to feel comfortable and embrace the achievement.
Among the main challenges we have to face is how to maintain the state’s revenue sources so that the state’s development agenda can continue in line with the aspirations of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan.
“In that regard, I remind all ministries, departments and state revenue collection agencies to redouble their efforts towards higher revenue collection while continuing to explore new revenue.
We are aware that, even in this economic recovery situation, we are still faced with various complaints as raised throughout the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting this time.
