PETALING JAYA: A 19-year-old who faked her kidnapping and demanded a ransom of RM100,000 for her “release” was arrested last night.
The teenager had followed her family to a shopping mall in Ampang before telling them she wanted to use the washroom, only to go “missing” for two hours,

Her family then received a text message demanding RM100,000 for her release.
“Fearing for her safety, the father lodged a police report,” the daily quoted a source as saying.
