TAWAU: Six pupils were injured after the van they were travelling in was hit by a four-wheel-drive (4WD) at Batu 5, Jalan Apas, around 12.50pm, on Tuesday.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the children, aged between 10 and 12, were sent to the hospital here for treatment.

“The van was hit by the 4WD travelling from the opposite direction while trying to exit an intersection at a U-turn.
“Consequently, the van driver lost control of his wheel and skidded before overturning in the left lane of the road leading to Tawau town,” he said, Wednesday.
Jasmin said the six pupils suffered minor injuries, while the two drivers were unhurt.
