Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s table tennis player Brady Chin Zi Rong’s second gold medal in the T19 doubles event won with partner Chee Chao Ming from Perak on Tuesday night ensured Malaysia reached their 33-gold target at the Asean Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The pair had defeated the Filipino duo of Linard Combras and Benedicto Hernandez 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 in the final.

Sabahan athletes also added one more gold and two silvers on Wednesday with Ethan Khoo Yin Jun breaking the Games record in the S14 swimming freestyle event to take the gold with a time of 2:03.85s to erase his old record of 2:05.25s.
The silver medals were won by Wong Kar Gee in the T13 long jump and Heron Lee in the F37 discus throw.
Sabahan athletes have contributed a total of 10 golds, six silvers and three bronzes to date.
The earlier gold medals came from swimmer Abd Halim Mohammad with three in the S8 100m freestyle, SB8 100m breaststroke and S8 backstroke, track and field athlete Eddy Bernard with two in the T44 100m sprint and F44 long jump, one each from Brady in table tennis (class 9), Ethan in S14 swimming relay and Doriah Paulus in F44 shot put (8.65m).

The silvers won earlier were from Amir Burhanuddin in the SL4 badminton team event, Ethan in the S14 100m backstroke and S14 100m freestyle, Eljoe Gutuoh in T20 long jump, while the bronzes were delivered by Doriah in the F44 discus throw, Ethan in the SM14 swimming 100m and Abd Halim/Jaflee Jikol in the SM8 4x100m medley relay.
