Nothing less than victory: Kim Swee
“The players have been instructed not to give them any space and opportunity to dominate the game, our goal is to get a positive result from the match,” Kim Swee said.
Kota Kinabalu: Three points is a must for the Rhinos when they take on Sri Pahang FC in their Super League clash here at Likas Stadium this Saturday.

Head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee said his team currently in fifth place in the league must get the maximum points at all cost if they are to close the gap on their rivals who are in third place.

“There are only four points separating us and Sri Pahang FC, so the players must ensure that the three points can be collected here at Likas Stadium.

“We are making thorough preparation ahead of the match at the moment and the players are urged to keep their focus and must avoid making any unforced errors that may cost us the win.

“Sri Pahang FC are on a three-match winning run right now and no doubt they have the edge with their current form, but Sabah FC are ready to give them a tough fight and we will not give up the match easily.

“The players have been instructed not to give them any space and opportunity to dominate the game, our goal is to get a positive result from the match,” he said on Wednesday.

Both teams had earlier drawn 1-1 in the first round match held in March that also saw Ong seeing red for questioning the match officials’ decisions.

Meanwhile, Ong played down any injury issues in the team and said there are enough players good enough for the match.

“At the moment, Telmo (Ferreira) and Cifu (Miguel Angel Garrido Cifuentes) are still carrying some injuries, but their absence does not affect our preparations ahead of the match.

“We still have a few more days of training to go before the match, hopefully they will have time to recover and are able to help the team.”
