Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory against Brunei national side in a friendly match held at the Track and Field Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium on Wednesday.
Brazilian import Ramon Machado put them ahead in the 11th minute from the spot after he was fouled in the box.

Despite their dominance, Sabah FC failed to add another after the opening goal.
Instead it was the home side who found the net next when Adi Said unleashed a powerful shot that beat Khairul Fahmi Che Mat for the equaliser in the 58th minute.
Jafri Firdaus Chew, who had a goal ruled offside earlier, was able to restore Sabah FC’s lead in the 69th minute before substitute Mohd Sappie Ashri added the third in the 81st minute with a shot from close range.
Head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee said the match was a good workout for both teams as Brunei is preparing for the World Cup qualifiers while Sabah FC are gearing up for the AFC Cup competition against Singapore’s Hougang United in the Group H opener at Likas Stadium on September 21.
