What best represents ‘Kita Orang Sabah’

Kota Kinabalu: A creative video contest was launched, Friday, offering prizes totalling about RM50,000.

The contest themed “Kita Orang Sabah (We are people of Sabah)” is organised by the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah’s (Gagasan Rakyat) training bureau to encourage people in Sabah, especially those who have an interest in creating creative short videos, to showcase their talents and skills.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also Gagasan Rakyat President, officiated the launch at the Gagasan Rakyat headquarters in Alamesra, here.

Contest organising chairman Abdul Kassim Razali said it is divided into two categories, namely the 18-38-year-old category and 39-year-old and above.

The winner/champion of each category will receive RM8,000 cash and a trophy, RM5,000 cash and a trophy for second place and third place, RM3,000 and a trophy.

There are also special and consolation prizes.

“This contest aims to encourage people in Sabah who have an interest in creating creative short videos to showcase their talents and skills.

“With the theme ‘Kita Orang Sabahan’, the short video can revolve around the traditions and culture of Sabahans, the wealth of nature in Sabah as well as the achievements of Sabahans or any situation that showcases the beauty of Sabah.

“This contest is open to all residents in Sabah,” he said. The duration of the contest is three months starting Sept 9, 2023 to Dec 8, 2023.

Also present were Gagasan Rakyat Deputy President Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, Vice Presidents Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, Datuk Rubin Balang and Datuk Masiung Banah as well as other State leaders.

Later, Hajiji chaired the Gagasan Rakyat Supreme Council meeting.
