SMK Kolombong tops the Rukun Negara Sketch competition

Kota Kinabalu: SMK Kolombong emerged winner at the State-level Rukun Negara Sketch competition 2023.
Titled “Rukun Negara Tunas Belia”, it was performed by five members, namely Ellyseva Nabila Olkestria, Beatrice Chong Yi Yee, Steven Fadan Justin, Levan Hazlieq Syah and Sharif Mohammad Iqwal Uddin.

They brought home cash, certificates of appreciation, trophies and hampers and would represent Sabah at the national-level in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 28.
Meanwhile, the second and third places went to SMK Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu, Kunak Jaya while the consolations to SMK Kunak and Apin-apin Group A and B.
Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry, Peto Galim, said the essence of Rukun Negara needs to be understood and embedded in us in order to be able to build a united nation together, especially in a pluralistic country.
He reminded the people to continue to be united in one spirit and value of unity, strengthening the commitment to continue to uphold the five principles of Rukun Negara.

Also present were Director of Information, Jainisah Mohd Noor, and deputy, Supian Musa, as well as Principal of SMK Kolombong, Dr Justin Rompod.
