He is accused flashing his private part to the 15-year-old student at 1.50pm on July 13 by the roadside of a school in Telipok, near here.
The offence under Section 15(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 provides for a jail term of up to 10 years, or fine of up to RM20,000, or both, on conviction.
The court released Abdul on a bail of RM15,000 with two local sureties and to report to the Telipok police station twice a month and his passport, if any, to be kept by the court.
Abdul was also reminded not to tamper with the prosecution witnesses, especially the alleged victim. The court set Oct 19 for pre-trial case management.

Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor Tham Pou Jin objected to bail on the grounds that even though Abdul has no relationship with the alleged victim, he had followed her when she walked out from the school.
However, counsel Chen Wen Jye asked for bail to be granted as her client had cooperated with the police during investigation and was remanded from Aug 2 to Aug 7.

Chen told the court that Abdul had informed her that on the day of the alleged incident, he was at a training centre from 7.30am to 3.30pm.
