BEAUFORT: Police arrested a man who attacked their vehicle using a machete in Kg Kiambor, Kuala Penyu, on Sunday.
In the 12.15 midnight incident, a 40-year-old man armed with a machete, believed to be a glue addict, suddenly dashed out from a bush and attacked a police vehicle.

District Police Chief Deputy Supt Ismail Abdullah said the man was arrested by a team from the Kuala Penyu Police Station and District Police Headquarters (IPD).
He said the suspect has been remanded for four days starting Monday to facilitate further investigations.
“The suspect was arrested for criminally threatening and preventing police officers from carrying out their duties and damaging two PDRM vehicles,” he said.
