Follow-up action taken after Nabawan’s natural disaster

Arthur said on behalf of the residents of Kampung Salinatan are very grateful to everyone who has provided emergency assistance and also welcome if there are any parties who want to provide assistance they can contact the District Officer as Chairman of the District Disaster Committee for the purpose of coordinating and ensuring that assistance reach the recipient.
NABAWAN: Follow-up action have been taken following the natural disaster that befell the residents of Kampung Salinatan here, said Pensiangan MP Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup.
The Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said the District Officer went to the location with the technical team to review the current situation in addition to preparing a report on the damage and estimated costs required for the repair work.
As a result of a survey by the District Officer, it was found that there was damage to the road on Panabaan-Pensiangan road which was caused by a natural disaster due to unexpected heavy rain.
According to him, this has resulted in landslides in several locations along the road inaccessible by all types of vehicles.
