Kota Kinabalu: Temporary visas issued in most countries are sufficient to grant temporary residency permission to carry out business activities for working professionals and earn an income, said Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

The Warisan President said this in response to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s statement on the dual citizenship proposal raised by Malaysians in the United States during the Temu Anwar programme held when he attended the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) recently.

Anwar was reported as saying that the issue of dual citizenship would be discussed further, where there must be an evaluation made first on its implementation and implications as it involves major policy decisions.
