Three injured in Ranau crash

RANAU: Three people were injured, two of them seriously, in a collision involving an express bus and a Kancil, near here, Friday.
The seriously injured were two boys, aged 7 and 8, while the other was a woman driver (age unverified). They were travelling in the Kancil when the incident occurred at 11.20am.
ADVERTISEMENT Sabah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, Hamsa Isnurdini, said they received a distress call at 11.29am.
“The accident in front of SK Nalapak involved a car l and an express bus carrying 43 people, including the driver,” he said.
He said the three victims in the small car had already been taken to the Ranau Hospital for treatment when firemen led by PBK II Wasli Saupin arrived at the scene.
Hamsa said all passengers on board the bus and its driver were unharmed.

The operation ended at 12.10pm after all hazardous elements were eliminated, added.
