Kota Kinabalu: Sawit Kinabalu Farm Products Sdn Bhd (SKFP), a subsidiary of the Sawit Kinabalu Group, has received the Halal verification certificate from the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) for the company’s product, Kinabalu Beef.
The handing over was presented by MUIS Chairman Datuk Seri Yahya Hussin to Managing Director of Sawit Kinabalu Group Victor Ationg at Kinabalu Meat Shop in Royal Plaza Putatan on Friday.

Witnessing the handover was Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Mohd. Arifin Haji Mohd. Arif who is also Education and Islamic Religious Affairs Exco together with MUIS CEO Ramlan Awang Ali.
Sawit Kinabalu is targeting more opportunities in terms of the development of business abroad where the demand for Halal and sustainable meat is increasing.
Victor Ationg said, SKFP has made it a priority to ensure that all Kinabalu Beef production processes follow the correct practices.
“With this Halal certification, the company hopes to further convince customers that this product follows halal food standards and achieves the highest quality.

“Furthermore, SKFP is also currently in the process of further developing product certifications by obtaining the Veterinary Health Mark (VHM), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP),” he said in a statement.
