Kota Kinabalu: Aru Boxing Club hopes to bag the overall champion title of the President Cup 2023 to be held at Damai Multipurpose Hall here from December 4-6.
Its Kota Kinabalu District Head Coach Ryandell Kitingan said they are confident with a Sukma silver medallist Erron Liaw and a Mayor Cup Gold medallist as well as other new potential medallists in their corner.

He said this after receiving a sponsorship from BT Pest Terminate at its head office in Penampang, near here for its boxers competing in this year’s President Cup.
Ryandell, who is also a former Sukma gold medallist, thanked the company’s manager Mervin Liew, who is also President of the Sabah Integrated Pest Management Association, for the contribution.

The club has never become the overall champion in this annual tournament, he said, adding this year’s President Cup will be participated by teams from Kota Kinabalu, Papar, Keningau, Ranau, Kudat, Kota Marudu, Sandakan and Tawau.
