Nine international schools in Klang Valley receive bomb threats

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan and Kuala Lumpur police chief Allaudeen Abdul Majid (right) say the authorities are investigating a series of bomb threats.
PETALING JAYA: Nine international schools in the Klang Valley received bomb threats this morning, police have confirmed.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan and Kuala Lumpur police chief Allaudeen Abdul Majid said police reports were lodged on the bomb threats against the schools in their respective areas.

Hussein said in Selangor, the police received seven reports: two from Petaling Jaya, two from Shah Alam, one from Kajang, one from Subang Jaya and one from Kuala Langat.
“We are still investigating but believe that it is a hoax,” he told FMT.
Meanwhile, Allaudeen said two international schools in Wangsa Maju received threats.
A message from one of the schools to parents informing them of the bomb threats had gone viral on social media.

According to the message, the school received an anonymous email suggesting a bomb threat, and authorities had been alerted to the situation.
In Penang, Timur Laut acting police chief Saravanan Velu confirmed with FMT that two schools in the district had also received bomb threats today.

Saravanan said they will share more details about the incident in due course.
