Woman, 29, rescued at Kinabalu

RANAU: A 29-year-old local woman suffered complications while scaling Mount Kinabalu, here, Thursday.

Ranau Fire and Rescue Department Chief, PPgB Ridwan bin Mohd Taib, said the incident happened at KM 5.5 of the Mount Kinabalu climbing trail, at about 1pm.

“Mosar rescuers and Malim Gunung brought the victim down using piggyback method as well as Robinson Stretcher to Timpohon Gate,” he said.

The case on Thursday became the seventh case this month and the 46th victim of illness or injury on Mount Kinabalu so far this year.
