Kota Kinabalu: The Transport Ministry should include Tenom in the Federal Government’s Railway Service Transformation agenda to develop a railway service connecting Sabah and Sarawak to Indonesia, said Tenom MP Riduan Rubin.
He said this was important because it would have a positive impact on the economic growth in Tenom, especially in terms of the Agricultural and Food Cargo Logistics Hub.
He also wants the Ministry to focus on upgrading basic facilities at Tenom Railway Station in line with the Transport Minister’s commitment to ensure that every Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) station throughout the country is equipped with basic facilities.
