LABUAN: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry here said the statistics that the IBFC employed 9,198 people with 20 per cent being locals in white collar is misleading.
It wants details be provided on the employees in the various entities to clear the doubts of many here.

The major entities of the centre are offshore banks, Labuan insurance-related entities, trust companies, leasing companies, international commodity trading, fund management, regulatory body Labuan FSA etc.
Deputy Finance Minister II, Steven Sim, in response to a question in Parliament by Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman, had cited the employment figures of Labuan IBFC.
