Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor wants the Federal Government to ensure that medical facilities in Sabah are at an optimal level.
He said that the State Government is also aware that the equipment in the hospital has exceeded its operational lifespan and wants it to be replaced with new medical equipment to meet the needs of various new service disciplines.

“This includes the improvement and upgrading of public health clinics in Sabah because this will be able to provide better services specifically for the rural communities of the state,” he said at the 2023 Sedafiat Awards Ceremony at The Grand Ballroom, Magellan Sutera Harbor on Monday.
He said in an effort to ensure that the health sector in the state continues to improve, the state government welcomes the 2024 Budget presented by the Prime Minister last October, which allocates RM150 million to build five new health clinics, including on Pulau Mantanani, Kota Belud.
“Indeed, the concern of the Federal Government is greatly appreciated because this facility has been long awaited by the residents of the island,” he said.
