Kota Kinabalu: Tawau will see direct flights from China soon, said Tourism, Cultural and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew.

Liew said the proposed twice-weekly chartered flights will depart from Shenzhen, China, beginning in January.

“This will be finalised by the end of December,” she said in response to a supplementary question by Sri Tanjong assemblyman Justin Wong, at the State Legislative Assembly sitting Thursday.
