SHELL conducts clean sweep at Tanjung Lipat beach
Kota Kinabalu: About 35 staff members and contractors of Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited (SSPC) joined forces to clean the Tanjung Lipat beach on a recent Saturday morning, conducting a full sweep of the beach from one end to another.

“It was a heartwarming sight to see everyone coming together on a Saturday morning, and playing a part in ensuring that our communites are able to enjoy the beauty of nature in a clean and healthy environment.

As an organisation that has been a part of Sabah since the 1970s and one that has seen Kota Kinabalu grow from a small seaside town to a cosmopolitan city, and in support of the Sabah Government’s SMJ roadmap (2021 to 2025) which emphasises tourism as one of it’s key focus areas, we believe that this effort will contribute towards keeping our local landmarks an attractive destination for locals and tourists,” says Wong Kim Mun, General Manager, Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd.

“I would also like to thank our local authorities comprising Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) for all their support in enabling us to run this activity,” he added.

As one of the pioneers in the country’s energy industry, Shell Malaysia is commited to proactively uplift the lives of the community in which it operates in.
