Man held over Tawau break-in
TAWAU: A man was detained by police for allegedly breaking into a sundry shop at Apas Parit, here, last Saturday.

The man was apprehended at a house in Kg Membalua, Jalan Apas. 

Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the man admitted to breaking into the sundry shop to steal essentials during the initial investigations. 

He said that police were alerted of the break-in at 6am.

The man took the team from Bandar Sri Indah Police Station and Bombalai Police Station to a house in Kg Pertama Bombalai after being arrested.

The team recovered cooking gas cylinders and other kitchen necessities believed to be hidden by the suspect. 

The man and the confiscated goods were taken to the Tawau Police Headquarters for further action.
