“To get rich, first build roads,” he said, quoting a Chinese proverb. “In a word it is about connectivity or connectedness in good liaison relationship ties with others.”

The Belt and Road Initiative by China is such a way to build connectivity to link countries together in trade ties that promote peace and prosperity through economic development in the spirit of the ancient silk road route and Admiral Zheng He or Cheng Ho’s maritime expeditions overseas.
Sun said this at the “High Quality One Belt One Road Cooperation Forum” held at the Sabah International Convention Centre on Tuesday.
