Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is getting a substantial RM300 million investment from South Korea through Curix Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Malaysian firm LS EVC and SK Nexilis, on 8.6 acres in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP).
State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe said the investment aligned with Sabah’s strategic vision for industrial growth and economic diversification, and the move symbolised a collaborative effort between Sabah and Korea.

“The Sabah Government remains committed to supporting investments that drive industrial development and job creation.
“This substantial investment reinforces Sabah’s appeal as a preferred destination for industrial development,” he said Friday.
Curix Sdn Bhd plans to produce 50,000 to 56,000 tonnes of copper granule, a vital raw material for SK Nexilis’ copper foil manufacturing plant within KKIP.
