Kota Kinabalu: One of the most evident benefits for many countries from the Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI) is from the people-to-people connectivity tourism, also known as “Silk Road Tourism”, with international and regional integration.

Sabah has benefited much from its tourism sector.

“Beautiful nature with amazing biodiversity, seas, mountains and culture…this is one of Sabah’s competitiveness and unique positioning in the tourism sector, besides being a resource rich State with oil and gas, palm oil, minerals, agriculture and talents within the BIMP-EAGA region which is a strategic geographical location,” said Malaysia-China Business Council Chief Operating Officer Georgie Too.
