PENAMPANG: The 333 Commercial Plaza at the Jalan Penampang Bypass here is scheduled to hold the 2024 Year of the Dragon New Year Night Bazaar for three nights from Jan 19 to 21, for the public to experience the Chinese New Year rituals.

The organiser’s representative Tai Ket Hau said this would be the third time the 333 Commercial Plaza having the New Year’s Night Market, after 2019 and 2023, to purchase New Year’s goods during the traditional festival.

He said the night bazaar business hours for the three nights are from 5 pm to 11 pm, and there will be traditional lion dance performances by the “Sabah Lee Kiong Dragon and Lion Troupe” at 8:30 pm every night

He said about 40 stalls would be set up ranging from New Year decorations and accessories to various festival supplies, which is most suitable for the whole family to visit the night market business district with relatives and friends.

He pointed out that organising a night bazaar business to celebrate the New Year can allow compatriots of all ethnic groups to experience the profoundness of the traditional Chinese festival culture and take this opportunity to exchange blessings.
