Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is famed as a seafood paradise with an abundance of fresh seafood and seafood-based products, backed by fresh fish farming across the State.
This is complemented by reputable hotels, resorts, restaurants, experienced chefs, culinary experts and gourmet.
Against this backdrop the State capital as gateway to the State has the potential to be a city of gastronomy, said State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew.
Gastronomy is the art of choosing, cooking and eating good food or the cooking of a particular area, such as traditional Sabah gastronomy.
