TAWAU: Kalabakan Member of Parliament Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy advised road concessionaires not to wait for frustrated ratepayers to plant banana trees in potholes before acting.
The concessionaire must do something to improve people’s well-being,” he said, claiming many seemed not bothered about poor quality of road construction and upkeep.
Andy, who is State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Assistant Minister, expressed disappointment with the road conditions in Kalabakan, particularly the Merotai-Kalabakan-Sapulut road.
“This is the main road for Kalabakan residents and also serves as an alternate route to the State Capital, but it is in poor condition. I am disappointed by the road’s terrible state.
