Kota Kinabalu: Some 125 buyers of the One Jesselton Condominium project in Kepayan, here, are hoping the Lunar New Year of the dragon will finally see City Hall (DBKK) issuing the Occupancy Certificate (OC) for their units.
This follows the “no objection” stand of the Deputy Controller of Housing, Stanley Chong Hon Chung, which comes under the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.

DBKK’s Planning Department Director Kalvin Liaw pointed out that the Building By-Law 1951 stipulates that the ceiling height headroom should be nine feet (or three metres). The entrance to the condominium’s lower ground car park has an entrance clearance of 2.05 metres.
Chong mediated at the Occupancy Certificate (OC) impasse recently between buyers, developer Bina Puri Properties Sdn Bhd, consultants and DBKK’s Department of Building Control and Legal Department representatives.
