Starbucks boycott pushes Berjaya Food to post RM42.6mil net loss in Q2

Kota Kinabalu: Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood) has reported a net loss of RM42.6 million in the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2023, compared to a net profit of RM35.5 million in the previous year, due to the ongoing boycott on Starbucks, it has been reported.
Revenue for the quarter also fell by 38% to RM182.5 million compared to RM295.3 million last year, NST reported.

BFood’s net loss for the first six months of the financial year 2024 was RM23.5 million, against a net profit of RM70.2 million in the same period last year, while revenue was down 20.3% to RM461.1 million from RM578.4 million previously.
