PENAMPANG: Notwithstanding defining the exact boundary that will separate this district from Putatan and the choice of first Council President, many residents here want numerous problems to be tackled before actual elevation to Municipal status originally intended for April.
Among the shortcomings – many places are shrouded in darkness at night, there is lack of parking space causing congestion, substandard facilities besides inadequate maintenance of existing facilities, lack of amenities such as a dedicated area for recreation and exercise.
“The township’s cleanliness and neglect of surrounding areas is obvious,” said Albert Jaua, of Kg Ramayah.
“There is unchecked growth of tall grass in many places posing potential risks.
